Accessibility

1. Our Commitment

Mycel UG (haftungsbeschränkt), operator of the ResearchArk platform, is committed to making its websites and services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to conform with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA.

This accessibility statement applies to the ResearchArk platform at researchark.eu and its subdomains.

2. Conformance Status

The ResearchArk platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

3. Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is not yet fully accessible for the following reasons:

• Interactive visualizations: some data visualizations — such as network graphs, constellation views, and animated charts — are not yet fully operable by keyboard and are not fully exposed to screen readers. We are working on accessible alternatives, including text-based summaries of the underlying data.
• Older interface areas: a small number of older interface areas do not yet meet all contrast and focus-visibility requirements. These areas are being remediated as part of our ongoing interface modernisation.

What already works:

• A "Reduce motion" setting (Settings → Appearance) lets you minimise animations and transitions across the interface; decorative ambient animations are disabled entirely when it is on.
• A skip-to-content link lets keyboard users jump directly to the main content of each page.
• Pages declare the correct document language for each of the five supported locales, so screen readers use the right pronunciation.

We run ongoing accessibility audits and remediate issues continuously as part of regular development work.

4. Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on 12 June 2026. The assessment is based on a self-evaluation of the platform against EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA, supported by automated testing tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks.

6. Enforcement Procedure

If you have contacted us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you can turn to the German market surveillance and conciliation bodies:

• Market surveillance: Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen (MLBF), the joint market surveillance body of the German federal states for the accessibility of products and services, with the Bundesnetzagentur acting as the responsible federal authority for digital services.
• Conciliation: Schlichtungsstelle nach § 16 BGG (conciliation body under the German Disability Equality Act) for federal conciliation proceedings — www.schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de.

The conciliation procedure is free of charge and does not require legal counsel.
